A busy few weeks for national agency gap personnel culminates today with yet another merger, that of Kerr Multilingual.
‘This is an incredibly exciting time for Kerr’ says Managing Director Marian Creighton. Marian joined the business in 1974 as an interviewer and eventually acquired the business in 1992 in a management buy out from the plc which had bought the company from Margaret Kerr when she retired in 1988, after over 20 years at the helm.'
‘It’s our 40th anniversary this year and being able to take advantage of the extensive experience and nationwide infrastructure that gap personnel brings to the table will mean a clear career path for our people and an exciting future for the Kerr brand which will be retained’, Marian added.
‘After 34 years in the business my real desire is to see the Kerr brand reach its full potential and I know that gap personnel is the way to achieve that - as soon as I met Gary, it was obvious that there was a real synergy between us. With the vision of this reputable and dynamic company, we believe that Kerr has a golden future within a privately owned company that is open-minded, innovative and 100% focused on high levels of customer service retention, locally, nationally and internationally.’
Talking about the acquisition, Gary Dewhurst said ‘As with any organisation, it’s all about the people and Kerr has a great team. The consultants have a longevity of service almost unheard of in our industry - one member of the team has been there for 20 years! That’s a great foundation to work from and we’ve got real plans for the brand both in terms of locations and expanding the service offering’
‘We’ll also be bringing in Bill Boorman from the Bill Boorman Consultancy as an adviser to assist with training as well as expansion and growth strategies - Bill has a wealth of experience in the multilingual recruitment sector and his input on a consultancy basis will be invaluable.’
